PREGO REFLECTION:
I come to my place of prayer and slowly read the Gospel.
Using all of my senses I allow the pictures from this scene to come alive in my
mind. What do I hear, see and smell as this story unfolds? What actions or
words speak to my heart? Is there anyone in my life or a situation in the world
that I struggle to show mercy towards, perhaps there are people that I feel
prejudiced towards? If so I bring this before Jesus and ask him to show me how
to truly forgive. Is there something that I feel a deep need of forgiveness
for? If I use this woman as my guide, I can place myself at the feet of Jesus
and in my imagination, using my own actions, show how much I love him. I hear
Jesus say to me “Your sins are forgiven, go in peace”. I bring my prayer to a
close by saying the Lord’s prayer.

WEEKLY
RAMBLINGS:
Greetings from Baltimore!
I'm currently in the front entrance area of the Church of
the Nativity - many of you would have heard me mention the place where so much
of my reading has been focused during these past two years. I was simply
checking out the drive today so that I can be here to meet with the team on
Saturday before the evening Mass.
I've been watching the paper and seeing the devastation
from afar and feeling a little helpless - hopefully things are in place to help
people out as they struggle to get life back in step. Also, a reminder that if anyone is in particular need they
should contact the Parish Office and we can try to get assistance from the
Archdiocesan Samaritan Fund.
Next week I will be in Halifax, Nova Scotia, for the Divine
Renovation Conference so will be able to report on the weekend experience at
the Church of the Nativity as well as the Conference.
Just a reminder for all those wonderful people who
supported me in my fundraiser and have not yet paid their pledge, could you
please make payment as soon as possible so we are able to forward the money
onto the World Youth Day recipients.
God
bless you and keep you safe.

would be for Friday and Saturday night) to contact Annie at the Parish Office

50 years of priesthood at 10:30am Sunday 3rd July at Corpus Christi
Parish, Bellerive. Hobart friends and members of the L’Arche Community are very
welcome to attend.
Lord,
We pray for
those who have been devastated by recent flooding.
We remember those whose lives were lost so
suddenly.
We hold in our hearts the families forever changed
by grief and sadness.
May they have the courage to face the long road of
rebuilding ahead.
Bless all those who have lost their homes, property
and animals.
Bless the work of those providing emergency
assistance.
May their work be guided by the grace and strength
that comes from you alone.
Help us to respond with generosity in prayer, in
assistance, in aid to the best of our abilities.
Keep our
hearts focused on the needs of those affected, even after the crisis is over.
We ask this in Jesus' name,
Amen.
